Booky Booky Nar Nar
These terms are an agreement between you and Matthew Boughan, an individual developer trading as Boughan Labs ("we", "us"), covering your use of the Booky Booky Nar Nar app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Booky.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for what happens under your account.
You keep ownership of everything you write in Booky — your reviews, notes, ratings, and tags. We claim no ownership of it.
When you choose to publish a review, you give us permission to store, display, and distribute that review within the app to other users, for as long as it stays published. That permission ends when you unpublish it or delete your account. Your private reviews and notes are never published, and we do not use your content to train machine learning models.
Public reviews are a shared space. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour.

Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or to access other users' accounts or data.
Every public review can be reported using the ⋯ menu on that review, and any reader can be blocked the same way. Blocking hides every review from that reader; they are not told.
Reviews that several different readers report are hidden automatically pending review. We also act on reports sent to matthew@boughanlabs.com, and we aim to respond to reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.
We may remove content, hide it, or suspend or terminate an account that breaks these rules, and we may do so without notice where the content is seriously harmful. If you believe your content was removed in error, email us and we will take another look.
Booky's core is free, and we do not limit how many books you can track. Booky Plus is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features such as detailed reading insights and your Year in Books card.
Titles, covers, descriptions, and other book details come from the Google Books API and other third parties. We do not control that information and cannot guarantee it is accurate or complete.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your data, including any reviews you have published. Deleting the app alone does not delete your account.
We may suspend or close an account that repeatedly or seriously breaks these terms.
Booky is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it working and your data safe, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for content posted by other users.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Booky is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
If we change these terms we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Booky after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live outside the United States, this does not remove any mandatory consumer protections you have where you live.
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for Booky. Apple is not obliged to provide support or maintenance for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price where required; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
